Mom's Tater Tot Casserole Recipe

-Tater Tot Casserole- This is one of my favorite recipes ever!  It is a recipe that i remember my mom making since i was a little girl and it is always every one's favorite.  It is simple and easy to make but it tastes delicious.  Here is the recipe...
  • One Lb. Ground Beef( i suggest using lean if you don't like as much grease.)
  • One package of Dry Onion Soup Mix(you may substitute w/onions if you wish)
  • Once can of Campbells Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • One bag of Ore Ida Tater Tots
  • One bag of Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • One Can of Water
  • Salt and Pepper
  1. Using a casserole dish add meat and dry onion soup mix or onions, if desired.  Mix together with your hands and then pat down into bottom of casserole dish.
  2. Salt and Pepper the top of the meat.
  3. In a bowl stir together One can of Cream of Mushroom Soup and one can of  water.  Then pour it over your meat mixture.
  4. Place Tater Tots on top until the casserole dish is full.
  5. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes, then check it to see if it is fully browned.  Take it out and add cheese over the top.  Place it back in the oven and continue baking it for ten more minutes or until the cheese is fully melted.
  6. Cooking times vary so make sure you don't bake it too long as it will get dry.
  7. Enjoy and eat with Garlic Bread.
