Tuna Fish Salad Sandwich

So it has been like forever since I posted a recipe!  The last recipe I posted was a Tater Tot Casserole Recipe.  My new goal is to post a new recipe each Month!  I know my blog consists of mainly product reviews and giveaways,   but I would like to incorporate occasional freebies and recipes as well!  All of my recipes are usually always fast and easy to make.

I was handed down this recipe for Tuna Fish Salad Sandwiches from my late YiYi(Grandma).  This is actually the only way I eat Tuna and I refuse to eat it any other way!  You know the Tuna Fish Sandwiches at Subway....NEVER will I eat one of those!  My grandma would always make our Tuna Fish Sandwich using this recipe,  then she would cut our sandwich in fours and put a toothpick in each one.  This recipe calls for raw Onion and Bell Pepper which I am not a fan of but I chop it up into very small pieces and it ends up giving the Tuna allot of it's flavor!

RECIPE:
Tuna Fish Salad Sandwich
Ingredients:
-Mayo
-Salt/Pepper
-1 can Tuna(I use White Albacore Tuna)
-Lettuce
-Bell Pepper(chopped)
-Onion(your favorite color-Chopped)
-Pickle Juice
-White Bread

Directions:
1. Open the can of tuna and drain most of the juice out.  Place in a bowl.
2. Chop up Bell Pepper and Onion into small pieces and add to Tuna.
3.  Add mayo(to your liking) and then mix together with the tuna mixture.
4.  Add desired amount of Salt and Pepper.
5. You may choose to add just a little dash of Pickle juice for a little added flavor.  I use it if I have it on hand.
6. Spread Mixture on White Bread and place pieces of Lettuce on the other slice of bread.
7. If desired,  cut sandwich into four pieces and use a toothpick to keep each sandwich piece in place.
8.Enjoy!

Ha,ha,...that's how I feel about tuna, too. I only like it in sandwiches with the onion and green bell peppers. I add a dash of lemon juice and for showers I often add a dash of sugar....my secret ingredient in most things like that....and it's gotta be the solid white tuna
Thanks for sharing your YiYi's recipe.
