Water for Elephants DVD

Water for Elephants will definitely take you on a journey back in time when you watch this romantic tale which is based on Sara Gruen's New York Times #1 Best-Seller novel of the same name.  I had never heard anything about the novel prior to this movie.  I couldn't wait to watch this movie because I love romance movies and I had read some good reviews about this movie.  Not to mention the fact that Academy Winner Reese Witherspoon stars in this fabulous film.  She just so happens to be on my top list of actresses.
Robert Pattinson(Twilight Series),  and Oscar Winner Christoph Waltz (Inglourisous Bastards) also stars in Water for Elephants.  This movie is filled full of unforbidden love,  great adventure,  and danger,  while taking place in a very magical place.  My husband and I sat down together to watch the movie.  We popped some popcorn and decided to make it a movie night with the feature film being none other than "Water for Elephants".

The movie begins with a young man Jacob Jancowski (Pattinson), who is devistated by the loss of his parents,  so he decided to leave his veterinary studies at Cornell University.  He is left with no family,  no money,  and no roof over his head,  so he decided to stow away on a circus train.  This leads him to a new life as a vetrinarian to the circus animals.  Eventually,  he ends up falling head over heels for the star performer of the circus,  Marlena (Witherspoon).  Life isnt always perfect though and neither are theirs because Marlena is married to the circus's owner, August (Waltz).

Waltz is cruel to the elephant while Marlena and Jacob share a bond through the elephant.  Certain parts of the movie made me cringe in horror as to how badly the elephant was treated by August.  The movie kept my attention the entire time.  Will the two of them end up together in the end?  I'm not telling!  Your going to have to watch it for yourself to find out!

The Water for Elephants DVD runs for 2 hours and twenty nine minutes,  which is pretty long for a movie these days.  I enjoyed every minute of the movie and I am sure you will too.  It would make a perfect holiday gift for any fashionista,  book lover,  or film buff,  especially if you are into romantic movies.   This movie is rated PG13.

BUY IT: You can purchase this movie beginning November 01,  2011 on Blu ray and DVD.

*Disclaimer - I received this DVD,  free of charge,  for review purposes.  In no way did this alter my opinon of their products.  All of my opinons are one hundred percent honest and true.*
