Taste of Home Magazine - October Edition

TASTE OF HOME

Today I would like to share a great magazine with you called Taste of Home.  You may or may not have read a past review I did for Taste of Home,  but if you did,  I bet you remember the unique recipe ideas.  What I didn't mention in the past review is that Taste of Home provides me with great sentimental value.  This is because my beloved late grandfather use to buy me yearly subscriptions to Taste of Home.  Every time I read one of the magazines it makes me think of him,  well... yummy recipes too!

The October 2011 edition of Taste of Home magazine is packed full of 172 scrumptious recipes & tips for the month of October.   While flipping through the pages I was intrigued by all the great Halloween stories and tips.  Besides all the lovely tips, ideas,  and stories you will also find an abundance of extraordinary recipes.  Some of the recipes include Black and White Spider Cookies,  and Cupcake Mummies.  They also spotlight apples in this edition with plenty of yummy apple themed recipes.

Heck,   I even like the advertisements in the magazine!  Speaking of the advertisements are you aware that KING'S HAWAIIAN now sells sandwich buns and sub rolls?  I have always sliced the regular ones in the middle to make mini sandwiches,  so I am ecstatic to find out that they now offer sandwich buns and sub rolls.  But enough about that,  back to their recipes!  Although,  all of their recipes look very appetizing I was most excited about the Almond-Chocolate Crescents recipe.  I have been making crescent wrapped hot dogs with cheese lately and they are so good I thought it would be nice to use them in some other recipes too.  Besides the Almond-Chocolate Crescents,  they also include six other appetizing crescent recipes.

In the October issue I was able to find many great tips including one on Freezer 411,  which turned out to be extremely helpful to me.  I am always curious about expiration dates,  so I was glad they broke it down for me.  If you haven't already,  be sure to pick up the Taste of Home October 2011 edition to gain access to fabulous tips and recipes,   just in time for Halloween.

*Disclaimer - I received the October edition of Taste of Home magazine,  free of charge,  for review purposes.  In no way did this alter my opinion of their products.  All of my opinions are one hundred percent honest and true.*
