Baby Shower Event - Swaddle Designs Review + Giveaway

Swaddle Designs is the number one online site to go for all your babies swaddling needs!

If you are a first time parent you may be wondering what swaddling exactly is.  Basically, it is snuggly wrapping your baby up in a blanket to provide warmth and security to your baby. The tightness helps comfort them because it reminds them of the tightness they felt while in the womb while it also helps calm them down when they are over stimulated.  In the hospital they usually teach you how to do it and believe me I have it down pat by now!

In addition to swaddling blankets, they also offer a huge selection of blankets of all types, burp cloths and bibs, towels & washcloths, baby bedding, apparel, and baby gift sets.  You will find exactly what your looking for in no time at all because it is all conveniently sorted on the sidebar of the website.  For all of you thrifty mommies out their be sure to check out their Deal of the Day to save up to 50% off!

Swaddle Designs recently provided me with a set of Swaddle Lite  blankets to review.  The set includes 3 Multi-use Marquisette Blankets.  I loved the cute little designs on each of the blankets which featured pink birds, stripes, and circles.  The blankets are designs for warmer temperatures and environments.  They are made out of 100% breathable Cotton so they feel quite thin.

The Swaddle Light blankets actually have more uses than just one!  Besides swaddling your baby you can also use them to protect them against a cool breeze or the hot summer sun, to lay on during tummy time, and for a privacy throw during breast feeding.  They make a great baby shower gift or new baby gift,  and come packaged in a box,  so you can easily wrap it or stick it in a gift bag.

If you are unfamiliar with swaddling no worries, the diagram will show you how to properly swaddle your baby.  They even sew an exclusive instructional label on each blanket to make swaddling super easy!  Make sure not to swaddle your baby to tightly because it can cause hip dysplasia.

BUY IT: You can purchase a set of 3 Swaddle Lite Blankets for $40.00.

WIN IT: Thanks to Swaddle Designs one of my lucky winners is going to receive a 3 pack of Swaddle Light Blankets worth $40.00!!

I'm expecting my first, and I've learned you shouldn't swaddle their hips too tightly because it can lead to hip deformities.

They never had such great things way back when my kids were young. We had typical receiving blankets and they always felt like they were falling and would jum and cry. These are awesome!

I have one son and I love swaddling him. He seems to sleep for a longer time when he is swaddle.

I've never swaddled, but will be swaddling my first baby when she's born in a month. I've learned that a lot of babies prefer being swaddled, and it helps them sleep at night.

I learned that a loose swaddle is ineffective, so wrap baby snugly, but not so tightly as to impede baby's breathing.

In my experience with swaddling, babies only like it when they are tiny. Also, the bigger the better when it comes to swaddle blankets!

I swaddle my baby to sleep until she was 6 months old. Any time she needed soothing - it worked like a charm!
