Udi's Gluten Free

I am usually not really into eating gluten free, actually when someone says gluten free, I usually run the other way.  That was until I was recently diagnosed with gall bladder stones and was forced to go on a strict diet, which includes avoiding white flour.  It's pretty much hard to do because so many food items are made using white flour, just about all of them excluding gluten free food products!  My new diet has forced me to eat much healthier than usual and try brands that I typically would  have never tried.  This also opens up my mind and body to becoming more healthy.

I recently received a VIP kit from Udi's Gluten Free Foods, and I must admit I was excited to try out their line of gluten free items.  I did not have high expectations because when I think of Gluten free I usually think bland, nasty food,  but I couldn't have been more wrong!  Had it not been for my new diet I wouldn't have been as willing to try their brand but after trying out Udi's I am so glad I did.  Their products are not only healthy for me but for my entire family and it's always nice when your children want to eat healthy!

Check out exactly what I received in my VIP kit from Udi's!

  1. Whole Grain Hamburger Buns - A bag of four whole grain hamburger buns. Make barbeque a little bit healthier with these buns!
  2. Hot Dog Buns - Just enough to make six hot dogs and make them healthier I might add.
  3. Hamburger Buns - A great alternative to your average buns but a much healthier option!
  4. Oatmeal Raisin Cookies - A tub full of oatmeal raisin cookies.
  5. Chocolate Chip Cookies- A tub full of delightful chocolate chip cookies.
  6. Snickerdoodles - A tub full of perfectly soft snickerdoodle cookies.
I would have to say I really enjoyed the cookies the best, especially the Snickerdoodles and the Chocolate Chip Cookies.  I was very surprised by how fresh and soft the cookies were.  I was also surprised that they tasted like homemade cookies. To be totally honest with you I would have never guessed they were actually Gluten Free!  I guess my kids loved them just as much as me because early in the morning a 3/4 full tub of the Snickerdoodle cookies disappeared only to be found empty in their room!

So what exactly is gluten free you may be wondering.  It contains no nuts, no soy, no dairy, and is totally gluten free. Udi's products contain no artificial ingredients, no GMOs and very few preservatives. This is perfect for my gallbladder diet because I cannot consume dairy, nuts or white flour!  Thanks Udi's Gluten Free Foods for introducing me into a new way of living - gluten free!  I will certainly be purchasing Ud's food products next time I visit my local Walmart store.
