The Dinosaur Train

Is your child a fan of Dinosaur Train?  If not, they should be!  It's an exciting cartoon that introduces children to the prehistoric age.  Follow Buddy as he explores the world of swamps, erupting volcanoes, and meets lots of dinosaurs.

To help celebrate Thanksgiving, my son received a wonderful Thanksgiving basket of fun! The basket included Dinosaur themed slippers, PJ's, shorts, and a book.   As soon as it arrived he opened up the box and his face lit up with excitment!  The entire day he was just waiting for bedtime to come,  so he could put on his brand new "Jammas" and slippers, and have me read him his new book.. I must say the slippers and pj set looked extrememly adorable on him.  At night before he went to bed I read him the story while he proudly wore his Dinosaur Train pajamas and slippers. The book has got him all excited about the upcoming holidays, which is why I think it would make a great addition to child's holiday book collection.

This Thanksgiving Day my son will wake up in his Dinosaur Train Pajamas and more than likely the first thing he will do is watch Dinosaur Train.  Thankgiving is a great way to introduce your child to different foods,  as well as healthy eating habits. Prior to Thanksgiving have your child help plan the menu and shopping list.  By doing so  this might just get your picky eater to try new foods, like my nine year old son who is super picky! 

To help teach your child the importance of healthy eating Your child can visit the Dinosaur Train web page to complete a free project.  Your child will that can be used to construct a Thanksgiving dinner for modern day animals that enjoy a plant-based diet (herbivores).  It might just  help encourage your child to eat more  veggies, just like the animals in the project.

Be sure to tune into PBS Kids the week of December 10th, as they will air all new episodes!  You don't want to miss out on these episodes because brand new characters will be introduced.  My son will definintely be snuggling up in his Dinosaur Trains and watching the new exciting episodes.
