PRODUCTS:
Gourmet Collection No.2

MY THOUGHTS:
The closest I have ever came to using salts (excluding regular salts) is when I soak in a bath sprinkled with bath salts.  So the thought of using sea salts in my cooking really got me thinking of all the possiblities you could use sea salts for, especially cooking!  I received the Gourmet Collection No. 2 filled with four tubes of various flavored gourmet sea salts and a couple shotglasses.

If I could sum the sampler up in one word it would have to be "unique".  This is because it provides a way to sample tastes and aromas from around the world.

The Gourmet Collection No.2 Includes:
  1. Himilayan Crystal Pink - Finishing & Cooking
  2. Carolina Hickory Smoked - Finishing, Table & Cooking
  3. Cyprus White Flake - Finishing & Cooking
  4. Hawaiian Black Lava - Finishing & Cooking
The kit included a reference card that features suggestions on which salts go with which dishes.  I can't wait to try them out, and I have a feeling they might just become my secret ingredient!

I also received a couple sea salt shot glasses.  I mean I have owned plenty of shot glasses in the past but never owned an actual shot glass made of salt!  How cool is that! I will soon be using them to take shots of Tequila out of on my husbands birthday.

*Disclaimer - I received the items mentioned above, free of charge, for review purposes.  In no way did that alter my opinion of their products.  All of my opinions expressed in this post are one hundred percent honest and true.*

I would love these. I only use sea salt... nothing but sea salt. I even take my own salt to restaurants. I am going to hint for this in my stocking.

I've experimented lately with some a couple of different salts for baking. I like the pink Himilayan variety. I like a nice course sea salt for soft pretzels and putting on baked potatoes (before they go in the oven).
