Finding Nemo 3-D

Who could forget the adorable little clownfish with the different sized fins! In 2003 Disney released FINDING NEMO, a computer animated film that was written and directed by Andrew Stanton.   It's cute little plot, along with it's amazing animation  scored FINDING  NEMO a ton of positive reviews.  It's no wonder why this film won Academy Award for Best Animated Feature!

For the first time this film was released in 3-D this past September and was released on Blu-ray on December 4, 2012. I was lucky enough to receive a copy to review with my children.  All of my kids are fans of Nemo, so they were all especially excited when the movie arrived.

This fun adventure begins with two clownfish(Marlin and his wife Coral) who get attacked by a barracuda.  Sadly Coral gets eaten while Marlin is unconscious. They were trying to protect their nest of eggs that would soon be hatching, but after the attack only one egg is left to hatch and that one egg is Nemo!  Unfortunatly Nemo's right fin is affected by the attack, making it smaller than the other and limiting his swimming ability.

Now fast forward to Nemo's very first day of school.  Nemo's father accidently ambarasses him which causes Nemo to take off towards a boat where he is captured by scuba divers.  He ends up in a fish tank in a dentists office and it's up to his dad to rescue him.

Watch to see an alternative opening!

This underwater adventure features loveable characters such as Marlin, dory, and of course the one and only, Neemo!  I am a fan of   Elen Degeneres,  so it was fun to hear her as the voice of Dory. My children were excited to see it on high definition Blu-ray. I was too because this movie really comes to life with animated updates, such as, vivid colors and eye catching detail.

This is by far a must have item for your child's DVD collection!  It would make an excellent Christmas gift or stocking stuffer so be sure to pick up a copy today!!!

This was one of the first movies my son saw in a theatre and we have all loved watching it ever since. Some of the scenes, especially with the goofy sharks, would be great to see in 3D.
