Chasing Mavericks on DVD and Blu-ray

SURFS UP!!!

Surf into some excitement with CHASING MAVERICKS!!!

I must admit there's just something a little bit more interesting about movies that are based on true stories.  I guess it's just because you know that they actually happened, which makes them more realistic and believable. That is one reason why I enjoyed watching CHASING MAVERICKS on DVD.  Another reason is because it was such an inspirational movie.

This biographical film co directed by Curtis Hanson and Micheal follows the life of an American surfer, Jay Moriarity.   After Jay Morarity finds out about one of the most biggest waves on Earth that is located just miles from his house, he seeks the help from a legend by the name of Frosty Hesson to help him survive it. Together, both Jay and Frosty will learn lifetime lessons as they form a tight bond together.

I was impressed with the wave footage in this movie, which I have to admit was absolutely outstanding.  It definitely makes me miss going to the ocean, even though I was just visited the ocean a couple weeks ago.  The huge brilliant blue waves that come crashing in are absolutely amazing, especially on Blu-ray! As is, the performances by the actors (newcomer) Jonny Weston and Gerard Butler.

     Blu-ray Special Features:

  • Awesome deleted scenes
  • Surfer Zen
  • Commentary
  • And much, much, more!

Watch CHASING MAVERICKS and watch as only fifteen year old , Jay Moriarity dares the impossible!
