For quite some time now I have been following a Facebook page for a darling little fighter by the name of Izzy. Unfortunatly, this sweet little girl lost her battle with Mitochrondrial disease on March 6, 2013. For those of you who don't know, Mitochrondrial disease causes a energy production problem causing many other issues and conditions. Her family struggled with her health for quite some time before she was diagnosed with Mitochrondrial disease and unfortunatly there is no cure for it.

Even though I did not know Izzy her smile alone along with her big sparkling eyes were enough to melt anyone's heart, including mine. She loved sucking her thumb, which reminds me of my middle son.  And it wasn't just me she touched, she touched and inspired thousands of peoples lives.

Izzy passed away in her home surrounded in all her loving family. She was survived by her loving mother and father and three big brothers.

To donate to lil Izzy, please click HERE and make a payment. Any amount of money will help. Any money received will go towards final expenses and any medical expenses incurred by during her fight with this horrible disease. You might also want to purchase a beautiful Izzy Bee Bracelet and all proceeds will go towards her family and expenses. To view her memorial page and sign her guest book please click HERE. To learn more you can visit Izzy's Facebook page.

<3 Rest in peace sweet little Izzy, you will forever be in the hearts of thousands of hearts that you touched.

What a sweet little girl. Look at that smile, even though she is so sick.

Beautiful little girl :) Sorry to hear she lost her battle but heaven sure did gain an angel.

I also know a little guy who was born with mitochondrial disease. He has been fighting the battle for almost 5 years now. It's a terrible disease! He's had many close calls. Praying for a cure so that more families don't have to struggle.
