Manhatten Toy Imagine I Can New Series of Toys

When my sister and I were young we  enjoyed playing outside on our swing set, catching lady bugs in the fields and talking to each other on fake phones we made out of paper cups and string.  Times sure have changed because these days it seems like children are constantly stuck to screens and electronic devices of all kinds.  That is why I always welcome arts and crafts into our household.  Unlike many other products these actually help expand my children's creative outlets, so of course I was more than happy to review a few products from the Mahatten Toy Imagine I can line of arts and craft activities. 

Their Imagine I can line of toys range in price from five dollars to twenty dollars, so they are not only a ton of fun, but extremely affordable too.  This new series includes 28 new and exciting kits to fits the likes of al kids. Each kit includes everything your child will need to create a fun piece of artistic work.  From cool lace kits to fun puppet crafts, you will find it on the Manhatten Toy website.  

I was given an opportunity to select three items from their Imagine I can line of toys so I chose:

1. Imagine I Can Lace & Play Porcupine
2. Imagine I Can Lace & Play Ram
3. Imagine I Can Finger Paint Fun

I selected the items for my two youngest sons ages 2 and four to complete during the day while my oldest son was at school. Every week I like to take a time out for them to have a little hands on fun activity time and this time just so happened to be Imagine I Can activity time!  Arts and crafts time provides a great opportunity for my children to expand their minds while spending quality time with mommy.  It also keeps their little minds occupied while not being stuck to a screen!

We sat down at the table and got all of their kits out and ready to use. I decided to let them do their lace up activity first and leave the messy activity for last.  They had fun doing their lace kit but was anxious to begin finger painting, so after they had finished up their lace activities they got down to some finger painting fun!  But that was not before nicely putting away their crafts back into the boxes.  I like to teach them the importance of keeping their belongings put up.  

The finger paints kit included four different color finger paints, Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow.  three plastic stampers and three plastic scrapers.  Oh and not to mention a cute little portable tin to store all of the items in.  Before we started we used the jars of finger paints to go over colors with them, which provided them with a very fun way of learning colors.  I noticed that the paint was a bit thick, so I mixed it with a few drops of water and wallah, it was the perfect consistancy!  

While the kids had fun getting a little messy I noticed how much their personalities differ through their little works of art.  My youngest son seemed to like to use more stamps and be a little more neat while my older son likes to really jump in and get messy.  This activity occupied them for quite some time until they were finally finished with their master pieces.  Afterward, we hung their works of art on the fridge to dry.  Before I even had a chance to tell them my four year old was already cleaning off the plastic pieces and putting them away in the tin box.  Nice to know he's actually taking ignitive to keep his toys nice, without me having to hound him about it.
