Mary Kay - Vox Box - Infleuster

*Disclaimer - I received the items mentioned above, free of charge, for review purposes.  In no way did this alter my opinion of their products.  All of my opinions expressed in this review are one hundred percent honest and true.*

As a member of Influester I was recently selected as one of the lucky bloggers to receive a Mary Kay VoxBox to review.  I think I possibly may have been selected because I'm such a prima donna, so I guess being a diva pays off sometimes(wink, wink).

If you know me at all you know that I usually don't go anywhere without my makeup on.  Now, catch me on a Sunday evening at home, and it may be another story, but none the less, I am typically always done up.  I am always trying new brands of makeup, and different types to achieve different looks.  One brand I had never tried was Mary Kay, so I was of course excited to try out some of their products.  Not to mention the fact that I have been meaning to try it for quite some time because I have heard some really positive things about the Mary Kay brand.

Upon opening my Mary Kay Voxbox I was excited to find five very useful products including:

  1. Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara ($15.00) - Helps give your lashes more length.  I loved the fact that unlike other mascaras, this one actually helps keeps your lashes separated rather than all matted together which is one of my pet peeves when it comes to mascara.
  2. Mary Kay Lash Primer ($15.00) - Helps give your lashes a more dramatic effect, while giving them a bit of extra length at the same time.
  3. Mary Kay Cream Eye Color Concealer Brush ($10.00) - No matter if your applying cream eye shadow, cream blush, or even foundation, this brush works effectively while giving you a nice appearance.
  4. Mary Kay Cream Eye Color ($22.00) - This is a great alternative to your typical eye shadow powder.  It's formula is very soft and lasts quite a long while.  Love it, not to mention the beautiful color.
  5. Mary Kay True Dimensions Lip Stick ($18.00) - Has a very moisturizing formula which smooths upon application.  I was surprised to find the eye catching Pink Cherie color because I just adore pink lipsticks!  I didn't have to continually reapply it, so that, mixed with it's moisturizing effects and color makes it a winner in my book.

Pictured above is the Mary Kay Cream Eye Color in Violet Storm. As you can see it is very easy to blend it with other eye shadows, as well.

Because I was not able to actually hand pick the items myself I was a little worried about the color selection but was surprised to find that the colors were actually colors that I would have chose.  One of the most unique items that I received was the Mary Kay Lash Primer which is a product you apply to your lashes before putting your mascara on. Had it not been for this review, I would have probably never tried it and now it is a must-have item on my list of cosmetics!  I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the makeup and will definitely be purchasing Mary Kay cosmetics in the near future.

What a box! Lucky you :) The Violet Storm cream eye color looks really good on you and I love the color. I don't wear makeup as often as I should but I do like Mary Kay. They've been around for decades and I've always been pleased with the makeup I've purchased from them in the past. Thanks for the review.

Mary Kay makes really nice makeup that blends really well and nobody else makes such great makeup. I like how your eye makeup looked! It blended so smoothly. I have gotten their lip gloss and it is the best!
