PRODUCT: Count Your Chickens Game

OUR THOUGHTS:
Our family loves playing board games together, especially during cold winter months. Were always up for a fun game, including the Count Your Chickens board game by Peaceable Kingdom!  This is a cooperative game meaning that players play together towards a common obstacle rather than against each other. It makes the game allot less competitive which adds to the fun of the game. Children no longer are against each other, causing them to focus on team work.

Count Your Chickens Board Game Includes:

  • 1 Game Board
  • 1 Month Hen w/Stand
  • 40 Baby Chick Markers
  • 1 Spinner
  • Instructions
Basically the goal of the game is to help mother hen collect her chicks and bring them back to the coop. You achieve this by scattering all 40 chicks around the board, and then players will spin and move mother hen, for every space she travels, players will collect that number of baby chick markers and place them in the coop.  Be careful for the fox because if anyones spin lands on the fox,  a baby chick is removed for the coop.  You work as a team to collect the number chicks together, count out loud together, and if all the chicks return to the coup - win together!

I love the fact that this is a cooperative game. It really takes away the competitive factor and instead replaces it with team work.  My children enjoy working together to get all of the chicks in the coup. Plus, they count together,  which is a plus because they have been working on counting lately. Overall, this is a really fun game and would make an excellent holiday gift for any child ages 3 and older.
