Luna Star Naturals

*Disclaimer - I received the item mentioned below, free of charge, for review purposes. In no way did this alter my review. All of my opinions expressed in this review are one-hundred percent honest and true.*

When I was a little girl I wanted to be just like my mom. That meant playing dress up in my moms heels and sneeking into her makeup stash. When I was young, they didn't offer makeup made for children, so I had to use adult makeup. Unfortunately, it just wasn't safe for kids, but these days you can purchase Luna Star Naturals, which is designed specifically for children.  They conveniently offer a collection of makeup for both younger children and older children.

Klee Girls Makeup Kits are designed for children ages 8 - 14 years old who are ready to wear makeup on a daily basis.

Luna Star Naturals Makeup Kits are designed for children ages 3 years and up who use makeup for dress-up play.

Luna Star offers a cute selection of makeup in fun collections ranging from Shining Stars to Fancy Fairies, to Costume Makeup, and even Tweens and Polish. I received a Super Star makeup kit to review.

The Super Star kit includes:

  • Electric Blue Eye Shadow
  • Go Bronze Eye Shadow
  • Bubble Gum Shimmer Lip Balm
  • Raspberry Shimmer Lip Balm
  • Cheeky Blush
  • Red Rocks! Nail Polish
  • Think Pink Nail Polish
As a mom, I love the fact that the makeup is totally safe on children's skin, making it a healthy alternative to regular makeup. You can rest assure that Luna Star Naturals uses only natural ingredients,  and mineral based products made in the USA.  This means all of their makeup is free of parabens, pthalates, petro chemicals, and artificial colors.  When it comes to makeup, it doesn't get any safer than that!

Luna Star is perfect for dress-up play, Halloween Costumes, day-to-day use, and even parties. Matter of fact, Luna Star Naturals offers Party Packs to use as favors at birthday parties. Can you imagine how excited little guests would be to go home with their very own Luna Star favors!  Or how happy they would be to get a mini manicure at a princess party. I do and that is why I will definitely consider purchasing a pack of party favors when my daughter gets older.

So far we have tried the Think Pink Polish and the Red Rocks! Nail Polish. It was easy to apply and best yet, it's safe on my daughters little piggies and fingernails. It peels right off so you never have to worry about using harsh nail polish removers.  I let my nieces use the eye shadow, lip balms, and blush to entertain them while they visited with us and they had so much fun.  To be honest, I can't think of anything funner than playing dress-up when your a child. And as a parent, you don't have to worry about harsh chemicals because you can trust that Luna Star does not use any chemicals in their products.

BUY IT: You can purchase the Super Star kit for $29.99.

I remember how much I loved it when my mom would do my makeup when I was little girl. I have all boys, so we won't be getting this, but I think it's a cool idea.

This is so cute! My little cousin would love this; she's always in her mom's makeup. This would stop loads of fights.

I've seen Luna Star's products before and I really like how they're not 'grown up' in look.. I can't stand the sexualized little girl images on other packages but this one is super cute and age appropriate!

Never heard of a little girl who didn't want to play dress up and borrowed their Mom's makeup! Now they can have their own--a heck of lot safer!!

What a nice idea - I didn't start wearing make up till my late teens - but I had some friends who loved playing with their Mum's bits :) x

My daughter loves putting makeup on! She got some for her birthday and every day while I'm doing my face, she'll pull hers out! she usually looks like she has a black eye, but I just ignore it. she's having fun! This would be perfect for her!

I was a tomboy growing up - still am. I do have days when I try to be a girl - when I go to lunch with my husband. I love that they do have the little make up kits for little girls though even as a tomboy I spent time playing with my mothers make up and getting in trouble.

My litter sister is always playing in my make up. She's 6 years old. Whenever I'm applying my make up she always wants to give a help in hand. I'm sure she would love this.

I only had boys but I would have loved to have had a little girl and use this makeup. How much fun is that. Maybe some day I will have a granddaughter and we can play.

This is such a cute set with some delightful colors. I know most little girls love to play dress up and tinker with mom's makeup.
