Red Lobster Lobster Fest

I received a Red Lobster gift card for the purpose of this review. This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own.

If you know me at all you know I love my food, and if you know me really well, you know I love food from Red Lobster!  Being that I am a huge seafood lover, and Red Lobster offers such a wide range of delicious seafood, I turn to Red Lobster anytime I have a seafood craving. In addition to their delectable food, the dining experience is always very pleasant, which makes Red Lobster my favorite restaurant. I always leave Red Lobster satisfied with a stomach full of food.  With that being said, I am sure you can imagine how excited I was to be one of the lucky fifteen bloggers selected to visit my local Red Lobster to review and help promote their Lobster Fest!

This year,  Lobster Fest is better than previous years because they are offering more choices and variety than ever before!  They are offering three new entrees to choose from including:

  • New! Ultimate Surf and Turf - Main Lobster Tail baked with crab and seafood stuffing, along with a peppercorn-seasoned grilled sirloin topped with Maine lobster meat in a citrus hollandaise sauce. This delicious meal is served over mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes, and green peppers.
  • New! Dueling Lobster Tails - Roasted Maine lobster tail topped with shrimp and a creamy garlic sauce accompanies a golden-baked Main lobster tail with crab-and-seafood stuffing. This is all served over mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes, and green peppers.
  • New! Lobster in Paradise - A split Maine lobster tail fried in a tasty signature coconut batter, spicy grilled shrimp, and a lobster and shrimp bake topped with macadamia nuts, for added flavor.

It's been a while since I have had a date night with my husband, so I got a babysitter for our kiddos (Grandma) and headed to Red Lobster for dinner. Normally, we take the kids with us because they always enjoy eating at Red Lobster. The lobsters in the tank offers a fun experience for children, which is always a highlight of our Red Lobster visit with the kids. Plus, the kids menu offers seafood as well as kids favorites such as Chicken Fingers and Macaroni & Cheese. Sorry kids , this time is was mama and daddies turn to enjoy a trip to Red Lobster.

Once we arrived at the restaurant we expected a wait, because even though it was a weekday, it was also a holiday. I guess that just goes to show how many people LOVE Red Lobster!  The wait was only twenty minutes and in the mean time we were giving a beeper to alert us when our table was ready. Within twenty minutes the beeper went off and we were promptly seated at our table.

The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. She directed us to their Red Lobster Feast Menu and pointed out a couple of their main dishes. My husband decided upon the Lobster Lover's Dream off the Lobster Fest menu.  I decided to go with the 4-course Feast, and for only $16.99, it was a fabulous deal. After taking our order she soon returned with our beverages and a basket full of complimentary Cheddar Bay Biscuits, which are absolutely amazing, by the way!

My husband ordered a Patron Margarita, that he enjoyed while we munched on the biscuits.

Soon, our salads arrived and my yummy clam chowder too.  I love that the cucumbers and tomatoes were chopped into pieces. Plus, the Blue Cheese dressing was so tasteful. I have honestly visited Red Lobster at times just for their salad and chowder alone!

After some lovely conversation with my husband and finishing up our salad and soup, our entrees arrived.  My husbands platter was huge! The meal included a Rock lobster tail, a sweet split Maine lobster tail, lobster-and-shrimp Alfredo linguine, and his side of choice (French Fries).

While he was enjoying his entree, so was I.  As I mentioned previously, I chose the 4-Course Feast, which included my choice of soup, salad, entree and dessert. For my entree I chose the Shrimp and Scallops Linguine. It contained just the right amount of delicious shrimps and scallops.

Now, this is where the photo of my Caramel Cheesecake should have been, but I was too stuffed to eat anymore, so I took it to go.  The waitress went above and beyond herself to actually pack our to-go boxes for us. I must say, she was very helpful, friendly, and polite, which made our visit very pleasant and enjoyable. That along with the delicious food, of course!

Their biscuits are the best! I love them. I am a big fan of seafood but my husband is not. I think I need to talk him into eating some biscuits so I can have some lobster!

I've heard about this place, and I always leave blog posts like these with a sad heart because I'm allergic, no matter how yummy it looks like.

I love Red Lobster! I'd really like to try the dueling lobster tails...and that margarita your hubby had! I have to stay away from the biscuits though because they are too yummy and I get full so fast then I can't eat my food right away! Lol.

I think I am the only person who orders chicken at Red Lobster, lol. My mom loves their seafood though, so I want to take her for Mother's Day.

I don't care much for lobster or crab so I ordered catfish the first time I ever ate at Red Lobster, which was just a couple weeks ago. The food was good but I thought some things were a tad expensive. The biscuits were yummy!
