Jennie-O Tacos

*Disclaimer - I received the items mentioned below, free of charge, for review purposes.  In no way did this alter my review.  All of my opinions expressed in this post are one-hundred percent honest and true.*

When I learned that I had gall stones and that I no longer could eat my favorite foods I was very sad, Especially by the fact that I could no longer eat beef.  That was until I tried ground turkey, but not just any turkey - Jennie-O!  I quickly learned that most of my beef recipes could all be substituted with Jennie-O ground turkey.  By substituting our typical beef for ground turkey, our entire family has become more healthy.  Did you know that ground turkey contains 70 percent less fat than beef?  Out with the greasy old beef, and in with the healthy ground turkey!

Jennie-O makes taco making easy, thanks to their pre-seasoned taco seasoned ground turkey!  Busy mamas will especially appreciate this convenient item, geared toward saving you time.  One less step for me means one less thing to do, and more time to spend with my kids.  Jennie-O was recently surprised us with a package filled with everything we needed to make delicious ground turkey tacos.

The package included:

  • Jennie-O Taco Seasoned Ground Turkey Meat
  • Wholly Guacamole
  • Herdez Salsa Verde
Since Jennie-O provided us with taco essentials there was no reason not to have a taco night, so that night we ate Jennie-O tacos using the three items they sent.  The Jennie-O meat did not have to be seasoned, since it was already pre-seasoned and it did not have to be drained, which saved me time in the kitchen.  We used flour tortillas and added Jennie-O Seasoned Ground Turkey, low-fat cheese, shredded lettuce, olives, and topped it off with Herdez Salsa Verde. Along with the tacos we served tortilla chips and used the Wholly Guacamole as dip.

Thanks Jennie-O for providing us with a delicious taco night.

What a great idea to have the turkey already seasoned with taco flavoring. I love easy and this is it.

I have a hard time sneaking ground turkey into stuff around here. If the boys (my husband Mark and our middle, grown, back-at-home-after-a-breakup son) see it, they refuse to eat whatever I put it in. Silly but true!

I love ground turkey! I just wish Jenny-O had an organic/steroid free product. We only eat that kind of meat now.

We've also started to make the transition from beef to turkey products and I love how good they taste. It's great to see that so many new turkey products are available.

That sounds really good. I love the idea of the meat being seasoned. I am not a great cook so this would be a great help.

My daughter can't eat ground beef very often, so she eats ground turkey a lot. Jennie-O is her favorite brand.

I am no longer a meat eater for over a year now, but I was never really a fan of beef. I would do ground turkey back then as well. Jennie O was always the brand I picked

I have a coupon for the Wholly Guacamole but I must not be looking in the right place at the store because I can never find it!

The Jennie O is a brand my husband already knows and loves. :)

While I generally use my favorite seasonings, having something ready to go and pre-seasoned definitely can cut down on cooking time, which is important when you're schedule is jam packed.
