John Frieda Review + Giveaway

*Disclaimer - I received the items mentioned below, free of charge, for review purposes. In no way did this alter my review. All of my opinions expressed in this post are one-hundred percent honest and true.*

My overall image is very important to me, which means when I go out in public, I like to look my best. A major part of looking my best is having beautiful hair.  Thanks to John Frieda, every time I step out of the door, my hair looks shiny, beautiful, and well maintained.  I recently received a couple hot iron products from John Frieda including a Curling Iron and a Flat Iron, both of which are essential hair styling products in my beauty cabinet.

The first product I am going to tell you about is the Smooth & Shine Satin Finish Flat Iron. While reading the outer package of the box I  noticed it offers:

  • 1 1/2" extra long straightening plates
  • Advanced ionic conditioning
  • True ceramic heater
  • LCD temperature control
  • Titanium ceramic coated plates
  • Auto Shutoff
After reading all about the Satin Finish Flat Iron, I was excited to try it out. Especially since my hair looked like this...

Now typically I have to wait quite a while for my flat iron to heat up, but not when using the Satin Finish Flat Iron by John Frieda!  Within seconds, it was heated and ready to be put to use.  Before using the flat iron my hair looked frizzy, wavy, and overall very unhealthy.  After using the flat iron, my hair looked shiny, healthy, and extremely straight.  This was due in part to the special Advanced Ionic Technology which helps flatten and smooth hair folicles providing frizz free, shiny healthy hair! I use the Satin Finish Flat Iron anytime I want straight shiny hair, like the photo below.

The John Frieda flat iron worked so well that I was excited to give the John Frieda Definition & Curl Volume Curls Curling Iron a try too!  While reading the box I noticed the Volume Curls Curling Iron offers:

  • 1 1/2" Barrel
  • Ceramic Titanium Coated Barrel
  • Up to 50% more ions
  • 30 second instant heat
  • 11 professional digital settings
I honestly, would never be date night ready if I didn't have a curling iron!   There's just something sexy about beautiful curls, especially when I am using my Volume Curls Curling Iron from John Frieda!  Within only thirty seconds, it's heated and ready to use.  It transforms my dull frizzy hair into shiny smooth curls one curl at a time, thanks to the special ionic power.  I use the Volume Curls Iron anytime I want big beautiful sexy curls, like in the photo below.

BUY IT:  You can purchase John Frieda products at Walmart, Walgreens, ULTA, Rite Aid, Safeway, and many other retailers.

LEARN MORE: To learn more, be sure to visit John Frieda online at www.johnfrieda.com/en-US/home.

WIN IT: Thanks to John Frieda, one lucky winner will receive a Flat Iron and one lucky winner will receive a curling iron. Be sure to complete both the mandatory entries to be entered into the contest. Thank you!

I flat iron my hair every day, so this would be awesome for me. I get keratin at the salon, but I need to finish my hair off with the flat iron!

I'd like the curling iron. No one in my family---except my husband lol--has curly hair. All completely straight, very fine, and in need of body.

I need to tell my daughter about this flat iron the Advanced Ionic Technology sounds like something her hair can benefit from.

I have naturally curly hair but sometimes want to give it a cleaner look. Sometimes I want to make it straight. But for me, the determining factor would be my daughters who have straight hair and want it curled. Sooo.... I would want the curling iron.

Wow your hair looks really straight and smooth from using the flat iron. The curls looks nice but it would be great to see a full picture of them.

For myself, I would rather have the curling iron. I am used to 80s hair and we like it curly, lol. Now, my daughter would prefer the straightener, so either would be really appreciated by us.

However, if I MUST choose, I pick the curling iron. She already has a straightener. Every man for himself. ;)

I would love to win the curling iron and the reason is because I have long straight hair so there is no need for a flat iron, but my curling iron is a small rod and way too old so the curling iron would be fantastic, thanks so much

Meghan said...

I would like to win the flat iron. My hair is super thick and coarse and will not hold curl, it just falls right out. I love my hair when it is sleek and straight.

I would really love to win the flat iron, it looks like it really does an amazing job! I want to win because I have really big crazy hair unless straightened, and right now I am lacking a straightner because a couple of very adorable but naughty toddlers thought it would be fun to put mine in the toliet (while off and unplugged don't worry) but now it will not work at all =(

Unknown said...

I would love the curling iron. My hair lacks body and it's pin straight so a flat iron would be useless. I need a curling iron for some body.

I would love to win the flat iron. Mine doesn't do its job properly and it has this weird dirt thing on it that doesn't want to come off and I am in desperate need of a new one as I don't have the funds to get one any time soon.

Melissa Sly said...

The older I get, the more wavy my hair gets. I haven't tried to curl it in years (since the 80s perm days) but I'd love to have a CURLING IRON so I could see what I could do! Especially here in Florida where it's so humid it's a waste of time to straighten hair in the summer :)
