Wanna know my secret addiction?  You may have guessed it,  but my secret addiction is chocolate!  No matter if it's a cupcake,  cookie,  cheesecake,  candybar or cannolis,  just as long as it's chocolate- I'm there!  So it's no suprise that when presented with an opportunity to review Adventures with Chocolate cookbook I jumped at it.

Young,  a talented author who makes mahic through her sweet delights!  As you flip through the pages you will soon notice that this is not your average chocolate recipe book.

Sweet Treats Week- Review #5/Asher's Chocolates

I have always been a huge fan of Chocolate ever since I can remember.  I love it drizzled on my ice cream,   on my pretzels,  in candy and basically any way you can eat it,  but my favorite is Chocolate Assortments.  Chocolate Assortments offer a variety of flavors instead of just one.  The nice people over at Asher's Chocolates kindly provided me with a box of their Petite Egg Milk Chocolate Assortment to possibly review.  We will get to the review,  but first I would like to let you in on a little history about Asher's Chocolates.

Chester A. Asher,  a Scottish Farm boy from Ontario Canada briefly worked in a candy factory,  until he decided to become a confectioner himself!   The Asher's Candy making business was founded way back in 1892 in Center City Philadelphia.  After three successful years he moved his company to Philadelphia's historic German town section.  As the Asher family grew over the years,  so did his company.  Upon Chester's death in 1966 his four sons took over the company.  Eventually the company was moved from German Town to Souderton.  Today Asher's Chocolates is under the operation of the fourth generation, and is the oldest continuously family owned and operated candy making company in the U.S.

When the Petite Egg Milk Chocolate Assortment  arrived  I was very excited!  The Lavender box was decorated with pictures of flowers and an "Ashers" logo on the center of the box.  When I opened the box,  I saw 12 Egg shaped chocolates starring at me.  Each box contains 4 different flavors that are sure to bring you back to your childhood.  The four flavors include:  Vanilla Butter Cream,  Marshmallow,  Coconut Cream,  and Peanut Butter Meltaway.

Vanilla Butter Cream -  Covered with Chocolate,  drizzled in White Chocolate  with a White Butter cream filling.  This particular flavor is super rich and super sweet.

Coconut Cream - Moist Coconut covered in sweet chocolate.  The chocolate blends well with the coconut.

Marshmallow - A whipped fluffy white Marshmallow filling covered in delicious chocolate.

Peanut Butter Meltaway -  This was by far my favorite flavor.  Each piece contained smooth silky peanutbutter covered in creamy ,  melt in your mouth chocolate.
