I remember back in 1994 when Lion King first came out in theatres, I was ten years old and fell in love with the movie the first time I saw it. As soon as it came out on VHS (yes, I grew up when DVD's were not yet available), I must have watched it about a hundred times or more! So you can imagine how excited I became when I learned there is now a Lion King 1 1/2 and a Lion King 2! I was so excited that the movie I loved as a child had now returned with new movies so my children could enjoy some of the same characters that I loved as a child.

OUR THOUGHTS:
This tale brings you all the way back to the very beginning before Simba's tale ever began. It was interesting to hear where Simba and Pumba came from, and what really happened behind the scenes of the Lion King's biggest events. Not only did it put a smile on my kids face but also on my face, as it is a very funny comedy. I was pleased to hear the voices of Whoopie Goldberg and Jerry Stiller in this amazingly funny movie.

OUR THOUGHTS:
I love the fact that an entire new generation can enjoy the Lion King too! My sons faces lit up with joy as they watched this movie. The characters are just as cute as can be. It's really cool being able to see Simba and Nala all grown up. It was also quite nice to hear the voice of Neve Campbell which you might remember from Scream. I am so excited to add both of these movies to our DVD collection and I am sure you will be too!
