Read and Write!
As a member of Mommy Parties I was recently selected as one of the lucky hosts to host a LeapFrog party!!! Because my two youngest sons are ages 3 and 4, it was the perfect opportunity to host a party at my four year old son's school.
I received everything I needed to host a fun and educational LeapFrog party including two LeapFrog Readers, plenty of LeapFrog Books, and lots of pamphlets. I joined forces with my son's teacher while we planned the party. Well, basically I planned it, but got the okay from her. We planned it for the last two hours of class on a Friday. And I showed her the books and reader so she could get a little familiar with them before the party.
Prior to the party, the Leap Frog Reader was specially loaded with plenty of Apps and books to give our guests a unique learning experience. Some of the fun Apps and books included: Talking Words Factory Flash Cards, Disney Pixar Monsters University 3D Books, and Trivia App, just to name a few!
It's always nice when your children are having fun, but you know what's even better? When your children are having fun while learning at the same time! Luckily, as we have recently learned, LeapFrog Reader allows your children to do just that! Not only does it help teach them reading, writing, and listening, but also enhances their vocabulary development. Because of this it made the perfect learning toy to introduce my son's class to. Before the party I gained permission from parents and many were excited to learn more about the Leap Frog Readers.
The day before the party we charged the LeapReader for a couple hours and I also let my son familiarize himself with the reader, so that he could help other classmates during the party. This turned out to be a great idea, because he was quite the teacher! Speaking of teacher, the teacher gathered all the children in a circle to begin the party. We used several volunteers to help with the Leap Frog Reader which really helped engage all of the students. Afterward we asked children questions about the story and had them help out by interacting with the LeapReader.
Afterward we used the flashcard Mash-Up flash cards to transform letters into words that talk. The kids really enjoyed this game while the teacher and I enjoyed the fact that it helps build communication and teamwork.
We also received plenty of 3D glasses to use during the party. We paired the LeapReader with the Monsters University LeapReader Book, and the LeapFrog Monsters University 3D Glasses to play a fun game. We used a volunteer to pair nouns and verbs from the images on the book. We let each student pass around the LeapReader making their very own "Scare Tactic". The children really enjoyed this activity. The children were all able to try the LeapReader out, so everyone received a turn.
Afterward the kids lined up to enjoy their treats - Listen Up Fruit Snacks which consisted of a variety of fruit, and Ready, Set, Drink Cups which consisted of fruit juice. After the party I stayed to help the teacher clean up and was approached by several parents asking questions about the LeapReader. I sent home sheets with all the children, so all of their parents can learn more about the LeapReader. I am sure the students will be telling their parents all about it!
Unfortunately, I am not able to include any photos due to the schools privacy of the students. I always include photos of parties and like to show off my hard work, but totally understand the schools privacy rights.

Having fun and learning too! That not only makes the parents happy but the kids too. My Grandson would so love this.
