The Burger Buddy

Wanna know who my burgers newest favorite buddy is?  The answer is simple,  The Burger Buddy!  Now I bet I have you wondering who The Burger Buddy actually is?  It's a unique kitchen utensil used to reduce fat by squeezing the fat out of  hamburger patties.  The way I see it you are either a fat type of person or not.  I tend not to like the fat,  and even go so far as to try to squeeze it out of the patty,  while compressing it with a spatula,  while it cooks. After reading the site it turns out by using this method I have been squeezing out juice with water,  containing very little fat.   My parents on the other hand believe fat enhances the flavor of hamburger meat.  This is not true as it is simply just a myth.

When used properly The Burger Buddy can help kill bacteria,  which is a major plus for me.  There has always been something about bacteria in meat that just bothers me.  I am one of those people that have to constantly wash my hands when dealing with raw meat.  The Burger Buddy did cause a little more work than normal,  but in the end it was all worth it.  It was actually very simple to use.  As soon as I had fully cooked my hamburger patty I placed it on The Burger Buddy.  I made sure to set the Burger Buddy on a Drip pan to catch all the fat drippings.  The thermal insulated plastic retains the heat,  which lets the water do it's job,  while you press the handle down to apply pressure to the burger.

While I pressed the handle down I added hot water.  As soon as the fat started to drain out of the patty I added more water to rinse it off.  I then let it drain and then prepared my burger as usual.  For me that would be with cheese,  lettuce,  a thin slice of tomato,  and a pickel strip.  I did however add some salt to give it a little extra flavoring.  Next time I think I may try it using some Seasoning Salt to give it even more flavor!  It was easy to use and left me with exactly what I wanted- a burger that was not overflowing with fat!  Besides Hamburger meat you may also use Sausage,  Bacon or any other meat you may want to use.  The Burger Buddy can be purchased online at The Burger Buddy,  for only $19.99.

*Disclaimer- The Burger Buddy provided me with a product to review.  In no way did this alter my opinion of their products.  All of my opinions are one hundred percent honest and true.*
