Sante

SANTE

I was recently given an opportunity to review Sante  brands entire line of nuts,  and of course I couldn't resist!  My husband was just recently  diagnosed with diabetes,  and we have been trying to get our entire family to eat healthier,  so they couldn't have come in at a better time!  My children,  just like any other children enjoy snacks thoughout the day,  but getting them to eat healthy snacks is the only problem,  that is until I was introduced to Sabre.  Sante brand nuts all began six years ago when Sara Tidhar found herself single and trying to make ends meet.  Her son suggested she sell the roasted nuts that all her kids were all so crazy about.  That suggestion ended up turning into Sante!

I had forgot all about reviewing the nuts,  so when they arrived I was quite surprised.  I love the way they sent them in a Product Sample Kit,  which organized them perfectly into their place.

I was very excited about the selection of flavors they sent including:

I was somewhat hesitant about trying the Garlic Almonds,  not because I don't love almonds but more because I was unsure what they would taste like if they were seasoned with Garlic.  Turns out they ended up being my favorite flavor!  They have a surprising kick to them,  pair that was their fresh crunch,  and you have some of the best almonds you will ever taste!   They are hot but also sweet at the same time,   which really was a pleaser for my palette.

The Candied Pecans and Candied Walnuts were a favorite for all my children in the house.   They loved the sweetness mixed with the nutty flavor,  and I love the fact that they are so healthy!  They have a light taste with a hint of sweetness to them.  I believe they would make a great addition to cookie recipes that call for nuts.  I would definitely substitute the regular nuts for some of the Sabre Candied nuts.  Matter of fact,   I was making a Sweet Potato Casserole and decided to substitute the regular Walnuts that the recipe called for,  for the Sabre Candied Walnuts and it really enhanced my Sweet Potato Casserole.

For some great recipe ideas to incorporate Sante nuts visit their Recipe section.  The Cider-Poached Apples with Candied Walnuts,  Rum Cream,  and Cider Syrup looks to die for!

BUY IT:  You can purchase Sante brand nuts for $4.29 - $38.00,  depending upon which size and amount you would like.

Oh No!! Your Hubs is a diabetic. That sucks!

I checked out the Sante recipes. They really have some good ones. Pear pecan stuffing sounds yummy.
