Next time instead of sending flowers you may want to think of sending cookies,  or you will after you read this cookbook any ways!  You will gain many of the necessary tips to be able to create your very own masterpeices of art all in the form of beautifully decorated cookies.  The cookbook contains many helpful tips for producing the best icing possible.  Once you have read the icing tips and experiemented with them a bit you will be ready to try out some of the recipes.  After you choose a basic cookie recipe to make you will be able to begin choosing your icing decoration.

The icing decorating is definitely the fun part of the entire process!  The Biscuiteers Book of Iced Cookies contains all of the icing decorations you will need for any occasion including new baby,  weddings,  birthdays,  baby showers,  Halloween,  Thanksgiving,  Valentine's Day,  Easter,  and plenty other fun icing decorations.   I plan on making some of the Christmas Ornament cookies and placing them in clear bags,  wrapped with a red bow to hand out as gifts on Christmas.  They would also make great favors for a Christmas party.  Each recipe and idea features a vivid image so you can get a good picture as to exactly how the cookie should look thanks to Katie Hammond for her beautiful photography throughout the book.  Glance through the book and your mind will fill with endless possiblities as to how to decorate your cookies for your special occasion.

Flip to the back of the book and you will find plenty of templates you can use to shape your cookies into perfect shapes.  I was able to find a candy cane shaped template for the Christmas Ornament cookies.  Besides the Christmas themed cookie icing decorations I also found a bunch of other ones that I would like to attempt to try including one for birthdays and another for Boy's because after all what kid doesnt like cookies!  Be sure to check this cookbook out and I am sure you will find it as interesting and helpful as I did!  It will give you some great tips and ideas you can use throughout the year on many different occassions.

I love to bake cookies especially at Christmas time. Iced cookies can be very interesting. I have a recipe for a pumpkin cookie with a maple frosting that is soooo good.
