2011 Holiday Gift Guide Day 19 - Scandle Candle

Let me introduce you to a lovely site called Scandle Candle.  Take a look around their site and you will find superb candles in a wide selection of pleasing scents.  Choose between their Scandle Essentials in Refillable Ceramic Canister,   Scandle Essentials Travel Candle,  Scandle Originals in Refillable Ceramic Canister or their Scandle Originals Travel Candle.  Besides those options they also offer some other items such as sets,  Scandle purses and totes,  lamps, and refills.   After choosing which candle you would like,  you may then choose which scent you would like.  And trust me,  theres truly a scent to fit just about everyones needs.  The actual scents choices vary upon which type of candle you select.

For this review,  Scandle Candle kindly sent me one of their Scandle Original Travel Tins.  If you know anything about me,  then you probably know I'm a candle freak!  I have always loved candles since I was just young.  I burn them at night,  while taking a bath.  while having a romantic night with my husband,  during rainy gloomy days, while relaxing at home,  and during parties.  In other words,  I will use anything as an excuse to burn candles.    Surprisingly with all the candles I have purchased over the years,  I never tried a candle that doubles as a massage oil,  that is... until now!

I must say I am very impressed with this candle, although I must admit , at first I was somewhat hesitant about putting hot oil from a candle on my back.  This 4 ounce candle comes in eighteen different scents including four limited edition scents for the holidays. Not sure what scent you would like?  Then you may want to visit their description of scents,  so you can get a good feel for which scent would interest you the most. I had a hard time choosing which scent I would like the most- It was a toss up between Autumn Harvest and Love Spell,  but in the end I ended up choosing Love Spell.

The Scandle Original Travel Candle comes in a square lightweight tin,  which makes it the perfect size to take with you on a trip.   My husband and I frequently massage each other,  so it didnt take us much time before we were able to put it to the test.  We heated it up for a few minutes and then I poured some on his back.  It worked wonderfully as my hands glided across his back.  Amazingly,  it left his skin nice and soft,  not to mention pleasantly scented.

Next,  it was my turn to receive a massage.  I was somewhat hesitant about the massage because the thought of hot candle oil from a candle going on my back somewhat frightened me,  but suprisinly it was not that hot at all.  The warm oil, soothed my skin and actually felt very relaxing.  The candle light  sets a relaxing mood,  while the oil calms your skin,  and the scent soothes your scence of smell.

Something you may not realize about the candle is that the silicone band that wraps around the candle can actually be removed after use and wore as an eco-wrist band.
