The Smurfs And The Magic Flute DVD

1983 was an awesome year,  besides the huge fact that I was born that year,  so was The Smurfs and the Magic Flute!  Who could forget the adorable little blue characters with cute little hats, I know I never did!  Back in the 80's cartoons were cartoons, innocent and fun, including The Smurfs.  I use to live for reading Sunday mornings comics and watching The Smurfs cartoons.

I was super excited to receive the Smurfs And The Magic Flute on DVD,  since I would be able to share it with my children.  Nothings better than sharing childhood favorite cartoons with your kids,  so they can experience the innocent cartoons that you did as a child! The Smurfs were actually created as a comic books all the way back in 1958, and in later years was shown on television and on the big screen. I am happy to see the Smurfs making a comeback on not only DVD, but also toys too because I recently saw some really cute Smurf toys while out shopping recently.

Join the Smurfs on DVD for it's first US debut,  beginning on August 14, 2012! It is based on the comic book series that was turned into a classic movie that first debueted in theatres in 1983,  and has remained a classic favorite for  over twenty five years.

Synopsis:
In The Smurfs and the Magic Flutea magical flute is just what Court Jester Peewit needs to play delightful tunes that make everyone in the kingdom dance — until the dancing turns dangerous. Sir Johan tries in vain to recover the musical instrument, but a thief named McCreep beats him to it, intending to use the flute to steal gold from the King’s subjects. It’s the Smurfs to the rescue when Papa Smurf devises a plan to create a second magical flute, and Peewit and Sir Johan go on a great adventure to find McCreep, win the musical duel and save the kingdom!

My kids were very entertained by this entertaining movie.  They loved the cute little characters and their matching cute personalities.  They did not like the evil theif who stold the flute,  so they were happy when it was recovered. I think I had just as much fun watching it as they did, it really brought back some fond memories of being a young child.
