Simply Super Heroes

Growing up,  I enjoyed watching my favorite super heroes on television including Superman,   Batman,  and Spiderman - just to name a few.  After growing into adulthood I never outgrew my love for superheroes so when I  recently came across the site Simply Super Heroes I was highly excited.  Not only am I a huge fan of super heroes but my husband and all three of my sons are too - surprise surprise!  


Simply Super Heroes is an online site where you can find all of your favorite super heroes.  I'm talking Iron Man,  Super Man,  Wonder Woman,  and just about any super hero you could possibly think of. Take a look at their site and you may just be surprised by how many different super hero items are actually on the market.  Yup, you will find everything from apparel to jewelry and even party supplies.  They offer merchandise for every age beginning with newborns including an awesome Batman Costume Logo Onsie!  Oh and of course what super hero would be a super hero without a costume and they offer plenty of those too!


Shopping on their site is a lot of fun.  You can choose to shop by super hero,  product,  or certain categories.   If your a bargain shopper you may want to check out their Clearance section for extra deals.  Oh and did I mention they offer a FREE section full of fun stuff for your children to do including video games, coloring pages, and fun videos.  


I recently was given an opportunity to choose an item to review and after browsing their site for a while I decided upon the 4 Film Favorites Batman Collection DVD.  Batman has always been one of my favorite super heroes of all times and I think my boys can agree on that one because Batman just so happens to be one of  their favorites too!  It had been quite some time since I had seen any of the movies so it was refreshing being able to watch them again.  We popped up some popcorn and me, my husband, and our three boys all sat around watching the first movie "Batman".  Since then I have also watched Batman Returns,  but haven't got around to watching the other two movies yet.

As a mother of three boys I am always searching for great cartoons for my sons,  so when I recently received  Redakai: Conquer the Kairu "The Journey Begins" on DVD I was extremely excited for my boys.  I knew it would be right up their alley,  especially my eight year old son's!  


In case you are not familiar with Redakai let me fill you in. Redakai  is a series that airs on the Cartoon Network and is based on Spin Master ltd's brand-new trading card game. It is also made by the same makers of the global phenomenon Bakugan Battle Brawlers.  


Join in on the adventures as you follow Ky,  Boomer,  and Maya who are on a quest to find a mystical energy called Kairu and then protect it from the evil Lokar and his E-Teens.  Kairu dreams of one day becoming one of the greatest warriors of them all - a Redakai!  This DVD is actually the first DVD release from the television series and you don't want to miss out on it.  

Redakai: Conquer the Kairu "The Journey Begins" is a two disc DVD set that includes 13 exciting episodes.  To add to the excitement it also includes one a limited edition BLAST3D trading card.  How awesome is that, right! My children enjoyed each and every episode  It makes a perfect addition to my son's DVD collection and we cant wait until the second season released on DVD! It's no wonder why this series became such a popular hit series rating as a top 10 show among boys 6-11 and boys 9-14 on Saturday mornings on it's first five weeks on the air.

Beyblade

When I was younger I collected  and played with Pogs and slammers and thought they were just about the coolest thing ever!  These days children(especially boys),  enjoy collecting and playing Beyblades.  

What is a Beyblade you may be wondering.  A Beyblade is very similar to a top but could be better explained as a high performance top.  the top is launched using a "launcher" which ejects it and gives it speed to spin round and round in a plastic slightly-dished base arena.  The other opponent then launches there Beyblade in the same manner and the Beyblades then battle each other by colliding against each other.  Who's ever Beyblade is the first to stop spinning looses the battle.


My eight year old son who is like the perfect age to play with these things absolutly loves them! Beyblades are actually recommended for children ages 8 and up so like I said perfect for my eight year old son.  He has been collecting and playing with them for a good year now and I must say they keep him very entertained.  He has a nice little collection of them going too,  two arenas and five beyblades,  but still he says he can never have enough Beyblades!  Not only does he play with them but...I have even caught my husband and his friend battling it out in the Beyblade arena!  


My sons tip: "different Beyblades do better than others when hit". So I guess it is better to find one that does the best when hit.  Sort of like Slammers because I use to have my favorite that would always nock over the most,  so I can definitely relate to that! He said that the BEYBLADE Extreme Top System Tornado Top that we received was easy to launch and had a lot of speed to it.  This is good because the more speed it has the better.  Not only that it provided more of a tilt,  weave,  a spin,  to gain more of an advantage over the other component.  I think he may of just found his newest favorite Beyblade! 


Beyblades make great gifts for boys,  I know this personally because we have purchased many Bayblades as gifts for boys.  I am not too sure about girls but I know I would have liked to play with them when I was a young girl.

BEN 10 Ultimate Alien DVD

My oldest son is seven years old and loves watching Ben 10,  he even has a Ben 10 pair of shoes.  He wore the shoes so much he wore a hole in them,  so I guess it's time we buy him another pair of Ben 10 shoes!  I recently was givin an opportunity to review  Cartoon Network  newest release in the volume three series of Ben 10.  Ben 10 Ultimate Alien Volume 3: The Return of Heatblast is the latest installment in the series,  in which Ben faces a rematch,  Elena appears with a new flock of nanochips and it's up to Ben 10 super fan Jimmy Jones to save the day.   In this DVD Ben has to face his past, as enemies come back looking for trouble.   Good thing Ben 10 has so many friends to watch his back! 

This DVD is hotter than ever and definitely will bring the extra heat to your summer fun!  The Ben 10 cartoon is not only popular with my children,  but also with boys ages 6 - 14,  as it has ranked the number one show  on Friday nights,  according to Nielsen Media Research.  This exciting DVD was just released on August 2nd and runs for an entire 225 minutes.  It is packed full of plenty episodes that will keep you children entertained episode after episode.   It's no wonder why this cartoon is one of Cartoon Networks most beloved series!
