Tropical Traditions Giveaway

Tropical Traditions has become a staple brand in our household because the products are all non toxic and extremely safe for our entire family.  I always want whats best for our family and Household Traditions is just that!  All of their products are made using Virgin Coconut Oil.  Wondering what is virgin coconut oil, then be sure to click on the link to find out. Their line of cleaning products include everything from Laundry Detergent(works great) to All Purpose Cleaner(never tried it but I bet it works great too).

In the past I reviewed some of their Laundry Detergent and it worked so well I couldn't wait to review their Dish Liquid.  I am always trying new brands of dish liquid so I was very excited to try Household Traditions brand since it is so safe!  Every day I wake up at 6:30 and do my dishes so for the past week I switched my old brand for Household Traditions and I must say I think i'm going to have to trade in my old brand for good!  The Household Traditions left my dishes looking sparkly clean as it gently cleaned my dishes, pans, and silverware.  The only thing is that it didn't come in a regular dish soap dispenser,  so I had to use an old empty one and pour the dish soap in,  but the dish soap itself worked perfectly.

Household Traditions Dish Liquid is Free of:
  • Fragrances
  • Petroleum Solvents
  • Dyes
  • Respiratory and Skin irritants

BUY IT: You can purchase a 1 Qt bottle of Household Traditions Dish Liquid for $9.95 and a 1 Gallon bottle for $29.50.

If you keep up with my blog by now you should be quite familiar with a wonderful site called Tropical Traditions.  If not,  let me fill you in,  so you can learn exactly who they are and what they provide.  Basically,  they offer products made out of coconut oil,  but not just any coconut oil - Tropical Traditons Virgin Coconut Oil!  Their products range from nontoxic cleaners to organic food, skin care products,  and just about everything in between!  I have tried many of their products and all of them have proved to be superior.

I may not always cook,  but one thing I do make sure that I do soley by myself is the laundry.  Sometimes with a family of five it seems like laundry is never ending,  so need less to say I do a lot of laundry.  I have tried many different laundry detergents for my family,  but it's hard finding one that works for my sons sensitive skin.  Well my search for a laundry detergent that sits well with our entire family has come to an end since I found Tropical Traditions Powdered Laundry Detergent.

Tropical Traditions Soap Set Giveaway

If you are a regular follower of my blog you should be quite familiar with Tropical Traditions by now.  I have reviewed many products from them including Organic Raw Honey,  Glass & Surface Cleaner,  Mint Massage Oil,  Mint Lotion,  and Virgin Coconut Oil.  Today I have yet another wonderful product from Tropical Traditions to introduce you to and it's called Organic Bar Soap.  While I'm usually not much of a fan of bar soaps,  I occasionally like to use them when I run out of liquid soap,  or when I'm just in the mood to use bar soap instead of liquid.  Although,  I do not usually prefer bar soap, I was quite surprised by how well  the Tropical Traditions Organic Bar Soap effectively cleaned my skin and I might just have to think about incorporating more bar soap into my life! :)

Tropical Traditions Organic Bar Soaps come in a variety of scents:
  • Coconut Soap - Unscented
  • Tea Tree
  • Lavender
Tropical Traditions sent me one of each scent to review and then share my experience with my readers(you).  Although I am not much of a fan of unscented products I knew it would be the perfect product for my sons because they all three have very sensitive skin.  I put it to the test and sure enough no breakouts,  irritation,  or rash!  For my sons the Coconut Soap - Unscented is like a miracle soap, it's so hard trying to find a soap that won't break their skin out,  so I am so glad we found Tropical Traditions Organic Bar Soap in unscented!

I really liked the Tea Tree Organic Bar Soap, it smelled pleasant and was not overwhelming like other soap brands.   The lavender scented Organic Bar Soap scent was also very appealing.  The bar soap  lathered very well and left my skin both looking and feeling fresh and clean.  The bar of soap actually seemed to last longer than your typical bar of soap, so you don't have to replace it as fast.  You can order them individually,  in a set of 5,  or in a set of 10,  for your convenience.

BUY IT:   You can currently purchase Tropical Traditions Organic Bar Soap individually for only $5.50.

*Disclaimer - Tropical Traditions provided with me the products mentioned above,  free of charge,  for review purposes.  In no way did this alter my opinion of their products.  All of my opinions are one hundred percent honest and true.*

Tropical Traditions Lotion *CLOSED*

I am sure if you follow my blog you know I frequently review for a wonderful company called Tropical Traditions.  Well I'm at it again with another fun review and giveaway for Tropical Traditions.  In case you are not aware of Tropical Traditions let me introduce you to them.  Tropical Traditions is an outstanding company that offers healthy products all based around Coconut Oil and not just any coconut oil!  They're coconut oil is of the highest quality and comes straight from the Philippians. Besides Coconut Oil, they also offer household cleaning products,  organic food,  skin care products,  Supplements,  and many other wonderful products.

So far I have reviewed Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil,  Glass & Surface Cleaner,  Organic Raw Honey,  Mint Massage Oil,  and now I have the incredible opportunity to review one of their Organic Moisturizing Lotions.  I was surprised by how many scents they had to offer including: Lavender,  Unscented,  Citrus,  Baby Silk,  Peppermint,  and Arnica.  I usually like my skin products to have a scent so I knew I wanted something scented and ended up choosing the Peppermint scented Organic Moisturizing Lotion.  I figure I couldn't go wrong with the Peppermint scented lotion because I recently reviewed one of their Mint Massage Oil,  and absolutely loved the scent!

We use a lot of lotion in our family,  matter of fact; we use just about as much lotion as a baby uses diapers!  As soon as the lotion came in I decided to give myself a nice pedicure and then use it on my feet.  The Peppermint Organic Moisturizing Lotion really pampered my feet and left them feeling soft and smooth!  I think it would make a  great addition to any foot massage...which gives me an idea,  I might just have to hit my hit my husband up for a foot massage!  The Peppermint scented lotion has a certain invigorating feeling to it as it somewhat softly tingles your skin after applying it.  The Organic Moisturizing Lotion  has a very fresh minty scent that is very calming and relaxing. The scent is a mild peppermint scent,  not too heavy or overwhelming.

If you are entering the giveaway enter "Happy Early Birthday" on a comment on this post,  and you will receive one extra entry. The extra entry is a freebie entry for all of my readers that read this post!  Now back to the review!   I also used the luxurious lotion on my legs,  arms,  elbows,  and knees after taking a shower.  The Peppermint Organic Moisturizing lotion is perfect for summer time!   It's lightweight formula spreads easily and absorbs very quickly leaving my skin looking shiny,  but never oily or greasy like some other brands of lotions do.  The lotion consists of purified water, organic virgin coconut oil,  organic jojoba,  emulsifying wax,  grapefruit seed extract,  virgin palm oil,  and organic essential oil of Peppermint.   This calming lotion provides extraordinary softness to anywhere I apply it.

Tropical Traditions Raw Organic Honey *CLOSED*

Tropical Traditions Raw Organic Honey is found in the frontier areas of Canada, and is only harvested for six's weeks during the summer.   Most honey on the market today comes from bee farms,  where the bees are encompassed in a certain area,  and usually got their pollen from only one flower.  Most of the plants that produce these flowers are grown with pesticides and fertilizers.  Most honey on the market are pasteurized in high heat and filtered,  which removes many of the useful nutrients and enzymes. Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey comes from Canada,  and must meet strict standards,  in order to be classified as certified raw organic honey.

Tropical Traditions sent me a 17.6 oz. glass jar of their Certified Organic Canadian Raw Honey to review.  As soon as I opened it up I noticed that it is not liquidity like regular honey,  the consistency is allot more solid compared to regular honey.  This is due to the fact that Tropical Traditions Raw Organic Honey is warmed only long enough to flow,  unlike regular honey that is subjected to the heat of processing.  Raw Organic Honey contains fine texurized crystals,  this is because it is pure, unheated honey.  Certified Raw Organic Honey does not deteriorate with age,  it actually develops more of a taste as it continues to age.

I did not care to much for the scent,  to me it just didn't have the same sweet scent that regular honey offers.  I gave it the taste test though,  and it sure tasted just as  sweet as regular honey!  I decided to use it on some homemade cornbread that I recently made,  and it sure didn't disappoint! I was surprised by how sweet and tasty it was,  even though it looked nothing like regular honey.  Tropical Traditions offers free honey recipes that will inspire you and give you some great ideas.  I especially like the looks of the Tropical Cheesecake Truffles!  You can try making it at home if you would like.  I might just have to make them myself!

TROPICAL CHEESECAKE TRUFFLES
Servings:5
Preparation Time: 10 min./chill 60 min.
  • 8 Ounce Cream Cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey(Tropical Traditions)
  • 2 Ounce Raw Ripe Mango
  • 1 inch Vanilla Bean
  • 3 Ounce Dried Coconut for Rolling
Let the Cream Cheese soften at room temperature.

In a large bowl,  mix the mango,  vanilla bean,  honey,  and cream cheese using a whisk or an immersion blender.  Place the mixture in the freezer for five minutes.  This will allow the cream cheese mixture to harden and then let you shape into small balls.

In a soup bowl,  place 3 oz dried coconut.  Shape cheese into truffle (ball) shapes,  roll in the coconut and place in individual candy cups or directly on a plate.  Chill in the fridge for 60 minutes and enjoy!

Massage Oil *Closed*

Whats better than a nice relaxing massage?  Not much,  that is why the entire 8 and a half years that I have been with my husband I have bothered him time and time again to massage my back.   And each time I was pregnant I bothered  him with full body massages.   Being the good husband that he is,  he usually always gives in.  Matter of fact,  massages are my doctors orders!  Once I was seen by my doctor for neck, back,  and muscle pain and she reccomended lots of massages.  That is why I was stoked to review Tropical Traditions Organic Massage Oil!

I am sure by now,  if you follow my blog posts,  you know about Tropical Traditions great products.  This is my third time reviewing their products,  and I am sure you will see a lot  more posts in the future about Tropical Traditions.  This time I chose to review a bottle of their Organic Massage Oil.  I have been massaged plenty of times,  but never before tried any type of massage oil.  The eight ounce bottle arrived,  and I couldn't wait to try it out,  not to mention the fact that it gave me an excuse to get a massage!

Tropical Traditions Organic Massage Oil is available in four scents:
  1. Lavender
  2. Mint
  3. Arnica
  4. Unscented
I have always been fond of  mint,  so I decited to chose the mint scented organic massage oil.  The first thing I did when the bottle arrived was opened it up,  and smelled it since I was anxious to see how it smelled.  There is no other way to explain in other than straight mint!  If you are a fan of mint then you will definently want to try it out.  It was neither too strong nor too week...it was just right!

Each 8 ounce bottle of Organic Massage Oil retails for $18.95,  but is currently only $13.50.   I am going to let you in on a little secret,  besides using it as a massage oil it can also be used in your bath water.  Simply add one tablespoon to your bath water and wallah- you got yourself a nice invigorating bath!  Once I heard that I had to give it a try.  It turned my ordinary bath into a nice calming relaxing bath.

As soon as we used the Tropical Traditions Organic Massage Oil,  we knew it was a keeper!  It left my skin feeling soft and smooth without any greasy feeling.  I used some on my husbands back and it actually made massaging his back easier.  It almost seemed like it made my hands glide over his back!  It really helped enhance our massages.

Tropical Traditions Orgain Massage Oils are made using their very own Organic Coconut Oil and Virgin Palm Oil.  There are no other oils on the market that are made with finer oils as thier base.  These oils are imported directly from the manufacturer in France.  They only use high quality organic essential oils distilled with low temperature,  and low pressure over an extended period of time.

GIVEAWAY:
WIN: Tropical Traditions is kindly providing one of my lucky readers with an 8 ounce bottle of their very own massage oil!

Tropical Traditions Giveaway *CLOSED*

You may or may not remember,  but I did a review/ giveaway of Tropical Traditions Virgin Gold Label Coconut Oil,  a while back.  This time I will be doing a review/giveaway,  on some of their wonderful Glass and Surface Cleaner!  I say wonderful because I loved the way it thoroughly cleaned my Stove,  Mirrors,  and even my Computer Screen!  Not only that,  but it contains no Alcohol,  Ammonia,  or any other type of harsh solvents,  No Fragrance or Dye.  Now that's my type of Cleaning Product!

Household Traditions Glass and Surface Cleaner was easy to use,  and my surfaces were left looking shiny and clean, .just the way I like them!  I simply sprayed the surface I was cleaning directly with the spray,  then wiped it off with a clean,  lint free,  dry cloth.  This left them streak free which makes me happy.  You know how sometimes you will use a certain cleaning product, and next thing you know you have streaks all over?  Well that sure didn't happen in this instance! Right now you can purchase a 1 Gallon bottle of Household Traditions Glass and Surface Cleaner for only $12.99,  which is a great deal!

You can use the Glass and Surface Cleaner on the following surfaces:
  • All Glass - Treated Glass,  Auto Windshields,  Plexiglass,  Light Fixtures and Mirrors.
  • Chrome
  • Appliances
  • Vinyl
  • Stainless Steel
  • Plastic
  • Porcelain
  • Counter Tops
  • Walls
  • Floors
  • And More!!!
I really liked that the fact that this product can be used to clean so many different types of surfaces.  I used it on my computer screen,  my oven,  the tall mirrors along  in my bedroom wall,  and on my counters and sink.  Because it is not harsh,   it doesn't contain the usual strong scents,  that most cleaning products do.  I also don't have to send my children into the other room just to use it!  I let my seven year old help me clean the table with it,  as he loves to help out and clean,  Well most of the time anyways!  Because this product comes in a gallon size it does not come with a spray bottle so you will have to purchase your own to use,  but it's totally worth it!

GIVEAWAY:
WIN: One lucky winner will receive a Gallon of Glass and Surface Cleaner.
RULES:

Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil **CLOSED**

I recently had the opportunity to review Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil.  Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil is a food,  and one of the best!  It is made in the Phillipeans by families who are coconut farmers and use methods that have been used for thousand of years.  Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil is produced by hand,  using a wet  milling process to extract the oil from fresh coconuts.   They use coconuts that are Fresh, usually within  24-48 hours of harvest from small family farms on Mt.  Banahaw and rural places in Quezon Province.  They do not mass produce the oil.
The Video below discusses how they found this unique oil.

When i first received the Coconut oil i noticed it came in a 32 ounce jar and the coconut oil was a pearly white color.  I read the jar and it said they use only the highest quality of organic coconuts and are hand selected, making them one of the best brands there are available.  I loved the fact that it is not necessary to store the oil in the refridgerator and it has a two year shelf life. The oil will solidify in temperatures under 76 degrees Farenheight,  if you would like to reliquify it you must put it in a pan of warm water .   It smells just like fresh coconuts and is not to mild nor strong scented.

The first use i used it for was Cooking.  I found some Free recipes using Coconut Oil at http://freecoconutrecipes.com/.  Some of the FREE recipes that they offer are:
  • Hot Cocoa Coconut Oil Recipe
  • Coconut Cream Sweet Potato Bake Recipe
  • Black and White Toasted Coconut Fudge Recipe
  • Coconut Macaroons Recipe
  • Frozen Banana Cream Pie Coconut Oil Recipe
  • Soft Pretzels Recipe
I tried the Hot Cocoa Coconut Oil Recipe and i was surprised by how delicious it tasted! It really transformed my plain hot cocoa into a tasty drink.  I was surprised by how much added flavor it gave my hot cocoa.

Another use for Coconut oil is using it in your hair.  Here are both of the suggested uses:
To use on Dry Scalp:
Rub into hair and scalp atleast 30 minutes before showering or before bed at night.  Be sure to wear a towel or shower cap at night to protect your bedding.
To use as a Hair Conditioner:
Rub onto the ends of your hair after washing while the hair is still wet.  Apply as needed,  working towards the scalp.  It can also be used as a pre-wash hair treatment.  Apply just before showering.  It is excellent on all hair types.
I used it on my sons dry scalp and by the morning i noticed his head was less dry.  I also used a little bit in my hair and it provided extra softness and shine.

Tropical Traditions is offering my readers a free complimentary copy of their own Virgin Coconut Oil Book available FREE with your first order.  Simply select "referred by a friend" and enter user id. 6777452 and it will automatically be added to your order.  If you have any trouble adding the FREE book to your order please visit their Customer Service.
