I was so excited when Piggy Wiggies offered to send me one of their latest Piggy Wiggies - Santa Snorz. I went to the post office to pick it up since I wasn't at home when they first delivered it although I didnt know at the time that it was Santa Snorz that I was picking up.   I was quite surprised to find Santa Snorz staring at me when I opened the package. 

Santa Snorz features a red body,  a white snout complete with black button nostrils,  two black sewn on beady little eyes and red stitching.  It's the cutest little santa pig you will ever lay your eyes on!

2011 Holiday Gift Guide Day 21 - Heelys

I am sure you have all seen kids in grocery stores and around town rolling around on their Heelys shoes.  You know the ones with the built in wheels,  which allow them to turn their shoes into skates,  how cool is that right!  But did you know they also make Heelys for adults!     

A while back my son was lucky enough to receive an opportunity to try out a pair of Heelys,  and I was so impressed with them that I decided I would like a chance to try out a pair for myself.  It has been quite some time since I last skated,  matter of fact over ten years ago.  I remember my little sister and I use to go to the skating rink every weekend and loved skating around on our skates and rollerblades but I am sure we would have loved skating around on our Heelys even more,  had they been around then.  Not to worry though because I am still able to own a pair in my late twenties.  

Heelys let me select a pair so I browsed their site for a while and found several pairs that caught my eye,  but I ended up narrowing it down to the Brooklyn II Lo.  I chose them partially because they are black and pink(two of my favorite colors, especially together), and partially because I was very pleased by the overall style of the shoe. When they arrived I was excited that they looked even better before my very own eyes.  The feature a black and white colored shoe with pink stitching,  pink and white argyle print design on the side of the shoe along with a pink heelys logo,  and pink shoelaces.
  

It was time to put them to the test,  so I simply removed the plugs very easily and popped the wheels in place.  Because it had been so long since I skated last,  to be honest I was most afraid of falling while trying to get use to them.  So,  of course I was sure to read the "how to" guides,  so I could get a better understanding of the safety and what I should and shouldn't do while wearing them.  I decided to give them a try outside my house on the hard pavement,  which wouldnt have been too nice if I had fell,  but I had my son show me the ropes since he has become a pro at skating in Heelys.  Bringing my son along for this little adventure turned out to be a bad idea because he kept teasing me,  but we both got a good laugh out of it! Let's just say the kids make it look super easy,  but it's not as easy as it looks!  It's definitely going to take me lots of practice before I can call myself even okay at using them,  but for now they are a lot of fun  to wear around,  even though I have taken the wheels off. 

Heelys look like a regular pair of shoes,  but they don't function like your ordinary shoes!  They make a great gift for any kid or holiday gift,  even for adults too!

2011 Holiday Gift Guide - Eat Smart

I must admit I have been somewhat over weight since the birth of my second child back in 2008.  Getting pregnant again seven month after having him didnt help the situation either.  I thought after 2010 when I had my third son that I would get back in shape,  but WRONG!  Here it is going on 2012 and I am still overweight!  I recently was given the opportunity to do review a review for EatSmart,  which inspired me to start trying to loose some weight.

I had never really gone an actual diet before,  but there is always a first for everything,  right?  I knew it would be hard because I love my food...especially my junk food , but I also knew that I would look and feel alot better about myself,  so diet time it was!  Because I have never really dieted I'm pretty much clueless at to how many calories I should be consuming and what partcilar foods I should be eating.  All I know is to watch my calories and not eat junk food such as potato chips, icecream,  pizza,  and all that good stuff!  Oh and how could I forget the subject of SODA!  Let's just say I have been addicted to sofa since I was just a young girl,  so switching to more water I knew would be a huge struggle for me!

So,  for this diet I figured I would focus mainly on my calories.  I visited a site and inputed my information such as height, weight, gender, and was given the results of 1,650 daily calories,  so I went with it.  Now that I had an idea of how many calories I should be consuming on a daily basis I went to my local grocery store to pick up some food.  I purchased veggies such as mini carrots and broccoli,  fruits such as bananas,  apples,  and grapes,  diet food such as Lean Cuisines and Smart Ones.  I noticed that the Smart Ones go by a point count but for this diet I wasnt going to mess with it,  just strictly count my calories. 

This is where my EatSmart Precision Pro Kitchen Scale comes in so handy!  This kitchen scale is multifucntional and can hold up to 11 pounds.  I love that it offers four different settings: grams,  ounces,  pounds and killograms.  I simply hit tare,  place my glass bowl on the scale,  then zero it out(tare),  and weigh up my food.  By doing this it allows you to get precise information every step of the way.  Within the past two weeks I have weighed everything from Chicken to Pasta and just about anything else you can think of.  It's very accurate and allows me to know just how much my food weighs,  so I can look up the colorie content online and also know exactly how much of a portion I should be consuming.

Okay,  so if I could only have one sweet in the world it would more than likely be chocolate. I am addicted to chocolate and have been ever since I was just a young girl.  I dont just like chocolate I LOVE it!  I contact GuyLian to do a review for them and when I received an entire box full of their chocolates I was stoked,   but when I tried it I was even more stoked!

The Sea Shells Extra Dark Selection box included 22 delicious seashell shaped chocolates, perfect for any dark chocolate lover!  They are made with 74% extra dark Belgian chocolate,  and filled with scrumptious dark Hazelnut Praline made in the age old traditional manner. 

The No Sugar Added Bars come in two different flavors: Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate.  Although they are sugar free GuyLian also offers regular chocolate bars.  I was especially happy about receiving the Sugar Free bars because my husband is a diabetic.  They are made with an alternative to regular chocolate called Maltitol which is a natural product derived from natural cereals. It does not promote tooth decay and on top of that it contains less calories than sugar does. My husband enjoyed both the Dark Chocolate bar and the Milk Chocolate bar.

The Mangroomer Essential Nose and Ear Trimmer is what I think to be an essential item for all men to have!  It effectively trimmed his nose hairs with ease.  It is super easy to use-  you simply remove the protective cap,  insert one double A battery and you are ready to use the trimmer.

2011 Holiday Gift Guide - Plantronics

Where I live it is against the law to use your cell phone while driving unless you use a hands free device.  I must say I am totally for this law because if you lived here you would see just how many traffic accidents there are due to people on their phones.  Using hands free devices makes it more safe for both the person using it and the others that have to share the road with them(us).  

When Plantronics agreed to send me a Marque to review,  I couldn't have been more excited because my latest one broke a month prior to receiving this one,  and to be honest the one that I had bought was cheap so it's no wonder why it broke.  The only problem is that my husband liked it so much he talked me into keeping mine and taking over his so...my husband was lucky enough to get to review it.

2011 Holiday Gift Guide Day 21 - Winterland Perfume(Jordin Sparks and Inky)

Go on a winterland wonderland with the delightful fragrances from Inky and Jordin Sparks.  I was excited to receive three delicious fragrances as I am a huge fan of perfumes and body sprays.  I can be somewhat choosy at times when it comes to fragrances,  so I was very relieved when I smelled the scents.  


Initally,  everything in my package smelled like the Tatooed by Inky Sudden Freedom because the top of it had broken during shipping and it leaked all over my other bottles.  I must say it was a mess but it was a good smelling mess!  After I cleaned off the items,  I was able to smell the other two scents,  which smelled even better than the Tattooed By Inky Sudden Freedom!  

Until I reviewed it I had no clue that Jordin Sparks had even came out with a fragrance...I like Jordin Sparks so I was hoping I would like her fragrance even better and matter of fact,  I did!  First of all it came packaged in a beautiful pink cardboard box with a big picture of her on one side of the box.  Inside a found a gorgeous bottle filled with light pink perfume.  I sprayed a tad bit on my wrist to give it a "scent test" before I applied it to my clothes and it definitely passed the test!  


The Jordin Sparks Because of eau de parfum smelled elegant and very feminine.  I would describe the scent as somewhat fruity yet at the same time floral. It has top notes of clementine, white imperial 
currant and orange blossom; a heart of nectarine, sharry baby orchid 
and coral charm peony, and a drydown of sheer musks, vanilla bean, Baltic amber and blond woods. It's scent is very destinctive yet very inviting.

I also received Tattooed By Inky in A Mi Amor and in Sudden Freedom. Both of these bottles come in a unique spray like dispensing bottle.  They almost remind me of little fire estiguishers.  The A Mi Amor comes in a mattalic pink can while hte Sudden Freedom comes in a metailic lilac color that is very pleasing to the eye.  


The Tattooed By Inky scents are just two of their line of scents for women, men, and even unisex.  I didnt have a chance to use the Sudden Freedom item because like I said earlier it was damaged in shipping,  but I did get a chance to smell it and I was rather pleased with it's delightful scent,  however I was even more pleased with the A Mi Amor scent.  In fact,  I liked the A Mi Amor scent so much that I went to the store and picked up a bottle of the perfume.

A Mi Amor - A very floral scent which includes White Florals,  Vanilla,  and Amber.  I think it's very feminine and can be used for just about any occasion.  The spray bottle features a big heart,  thorned vines,  and roses.  


Sudden Freedom - A fresh subtle scent that combines Aquatic Florals,  with Pink Jasmine and Warm Rosewood. The spray bottle features Dreamy clouds,  stars,  and a bird.

2011 Holiday Gift Guide - Maui Toys

Well, the question is what isn't good about a Sky Ball!  First of all,  these impressive balls bounce up to an astonishing 75 feet in the air.  Yes,  I said it,  75 feet!  That is 5 times higher than a bouncy ball,  4 times higher than a basketball and 3 times higher than a tennis ball.  I know,  impressive,  right! 

Just like last time,  my children had a blast bouncing these mind-blowing balls and watching them as the flew up in the air and then back down.  My two oldest tried doing bouncing contests where they would see who could bounce their ball the highest.  It was no surprise that my oldest won time and time again,  but never the less,  they both enjoyed competing with each other.  It seems like the ball gains momentum as it flies up in the air.  I am not exactly sure why they go so high,  but I know it has to do with helium.  There's something else that makes it soar high up in the air but it's top secret so I don't even know what it exactly is!

The Orb Factory was kind enough to provide me with the 3-D Ocean Magic  activity kit from their sticky mosaics original line of products.  Although it is for ages five and older I let my 3 year old work on it with my seven year old which turned out nice because my seven year old was able to help his little brother.  This set included everything pictured below.

The kids had such fun working together to complete this project.   After they finished their neon fishies they were able to put on the 3-D glasses and watch as the fish came to life.  The 3-D part was the coolest part about the activity and my three year old was so amazed by the 3-D effects,  he just couldnt figure it out.  It was so nice spending quality time with them without a T.V. on or a computer screen or video screen.  It takes me back to simpilar times when all you needed was a good craft or activity to keep you entertained.  Let's face it a craft or activity is a lot more creative and mind expanding than a screen!

2011 Holiday Gift Guide Day - Glow Crazy

Go crazy with Glow Crazy!  No really,  you will certainly go glow crazy while playing with this exteremly entertaining toy.  Even though its made for children you just may find yourself what I like to refer to as "testing it out".   I am sure you have more than likely seen all the commercials for it and if your children are anything like mine,  they probably go crazy over Glow Crazy every time the commercial airs. 


I think what makes this  toy so unique is that children can write on the walls without getting in trouble for it,   not to mention the fact that it allows them to play in the dark!  And lets be honest what kid doesn't want to write on the walls or play in the dark...I know I sure would have!  I recently received both GlowCrazy bonus pack which contained a mini lightwand,  5 canvas wall clings,  and four stencils.  The only thing that is different from the regular GlowCrazy product and the bonus GlowCrazy product is the packaging and the lightwand. 

Not only did the kids have a blast playing with the GlowCrazy toy but so did I!  Yes,  I'll admit it, I really enjoyed the toy and at one point my son had to even force me to give it back to him.  I guess I'm just a big old kid at heart,  that or the GlowCrazy is just that much fun!   

And besides the Bonus Glow Crazy,  my children also received the Glow Crazy To Go an incredibly fun toy that is also intended for play in the dark.  The Glow Crazy To Go actually allows you to draw in the dark!  It includes four crazy glow pads,  and a lightwand attatched to a string so it wont get lost.  It also comes with a glow wand and four fun stencils that can be conveniently stored in it's handy pocket.  This toy would be perfect for nighttime car trips,  sleepovers,  and any nightime fun play!  What we thought would be used specifically by the kids,  has now been used by our entire family,  including my husband and I!
